Boston Community Demonstrates Chinese Calligraphy to Promote Traditional Chinese Characters

To promote Traditional Chinese characters and add to the Spring Festival atmosphere, the Culture Center of TECO in Boston and the Chinese Calligraphy Association of Boston held the “2019 Traditional Chinese Character Cultural Festival in Boston —Welcome a New Year” on January 26 and 27, 2019. There were many calligraphers in attendance who demonstrated Chinese calligraphy while teaching other traditional folk arts.
Director-General Douglas Y.T. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (TECO-Boston), Director Hung-wei Ou of the Culture Center of TECO in Boston, and President Paul Chan of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England (CCBA) were invited to attend the event and demonstrated Chinese calligraphy. Mr. Hsu said it was a pleasure to attend the event for the first time as Director-General of TECO-Boston and demonstrate Chinese calligraphy. He also expressed his gratitude to the Boston overseas community for their long-term support.
