The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (TECO-Boston) is implementing the following regulations, starting March 23, 2020, and until further notice, to help protect the safety and health of the public and staff in view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Massachusetts:
Consular Services
Only Biometric Passport applications will be processed. Machine Readable Passports (MRP) will not be processed until further notice.
Applicants processing Power of Attorney or Proof of U.S. Residency for military retirement benefits or retirement benefits must authenticate/certify such documents by a Notary Public in your area before mailing for processing by TECO-Boston. Applications are not being processed in person at this time and until further notice.
Applications submitted by mail must include a self-addressed stamped or pre-paid envelope (e.g. FedEx, UPS, USPS only.)
