「2022年台灣農業貿易友好訪問團抵達明尼蘇達州採購黃豆及玉米」
On September 15, Taiwan’s Agricultural Trade Goodwill Mission signed two letters of intent with Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council, planning to purchase a total estimated value of over $2.6 billion of soybean and corn, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Co-Chairs of Minnesota Legislature Taiwan Friendship Caucus Sen. John Hoffman and Rep. Mohamud Noor as witnesses. Governor Walz welcomes the mission and looks forward to strengthen trade relationship between Taiwan and Minnesota.
疫情後首度重啟訪美的台灣農訪團本(9)月15日抵達明尼蘇達州,並在明州州長華茲鼎(Tim Walz)親自見證下,由訪團台灣植物油工業及飼料工業公會代表,分別與明州黃豆及玉米協會簽署兩份採購意向書,未來兩年將自美國購買總價值超過26億美元的黃豆及玉米。
華州長對該團的來訪表示熱忱歡迎,期盼未來明州與台灣經貿關係持續強化。明州州議會「友台連線」共同主席John Hoffman州參議員、Mohamud Noor州眾議員亦與會見證。
Deputy Minister Chin-Cheng Huang of the Council of Agriculture, head of the mission, mentioned in his remarks that it is the first Taiwan Agricultural Trade Goodwill Mission visiting the U.S. after the pandemic, and the 5th visit to Minnesota for the delegation, showcasing the stronger agricultural trade relations between Taiwan and Minnesota.
農訪團團長農委會黃金城副主委致詞表示,這是我國農訪團在疫情爆發後睽違三年訪問美國,也是農訪團有史以來第5度造訪明州,展現台灣與明州的農業貿易持續蓬勃發展。
Director General Johnson Chiang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago also expressed his gratitude for the joint effort of Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Taiwan Trade office and Minnesota Legislature Taiwan Friendship Caucus to make this signing ceremony possible.
