An event named “#LetTaiwanHelp Beach Cleanup”, organized by TECO in Guam in collaboration with GVB, took place at Ypao Beach located in Tumon Bay on May 16, 09:00AM, 2021, with widespread resonances on Guam. This activity was joined by about 100 participants, including TECO Director General Paul Chen along with all the TECO staff members and their families, Guam Legislature Vice Speaker Hon. Tina Rose Muña Barnes, GVB Board Chairman Milton Morinaga, GVB Vice President Gerry Perez with several other GVB officials, Tamuning-Tumon-Harmon Mayor Louise Rivera, Vice Mayor Albert Toves with all the staffers of the Mayor’s office, Palau Consul General on Guam Adelina “Enna” K. Jose with the staffers of her office, Former Palau Consul General Vic April with dozens of Palauan expats on Guam, several Korean community members and a considerable number of Taiwanese expats on Guam. Meanwhile, TECO Director General Paul Chen was interviewed by the Pacific Daily News and the Guam Daily Post, Guam’s two mainstream media, at the scene. Before the commencement of the beach cleanup, all the participants chanted “Let Taiwan Help” and “Let’s go, Guam” together, and each of them received a sport cap designed by a Taiwanese designer living on Guam as souvenir from TECO Director General Paul Chen for supporting this great event which is believed to have successfully accomplished the outreach.
