Required documentations:
- A completed Application Form of Document Authentication.
- All information provided, including the applicant’s signature, must exactly match the details in the valid passport. A handwritten (wet) signature on the form is mandatory for all applications.
- A photocopy of applicant's valid passport.
- Authentication document(s): documents can be verified through this office are: Power of Attorney (two forms: Certify the Principal's Signature, After the Principal's Signature Certified by a Notary Public), Academic Degree (such as diploma, transcript and certificate), Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate, Death Certificate, Driver's License, Commercial Documents...etc. For authenticating documents not listed above, please call or email us in advance to obtain information of the specific procedure and additional requirements.
- A copy of a license/certification issued by the Secretary of State office to that business entity if applicant submits on behalf of a business entity.
- Application fee: $15 per document; each extra notarized/verified copy is $7.5.
- Methods of Payment: Cash, money order or cashier's check. Payable to "TECO Honolulu". Personal check and credit card will not be accepted.
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Honolulu is only authorized to authenticate documents that have been issued within our service areas, which are State of Hawaii and American Samoa.
