The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific intends to make a sole source award to Biomerieux, Inc. for microbial identification (ID) and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) cards for use with Government-owned Vitek 2 XL analyzer for Tripler Army Medical Center for a base period plus up to 4 option periods. These reagents shall be compatible with the Vitek 2 XL analyzer for current established testing methods to remain compliant with prevailing established testing methodology for bacterial and fungal identification and susceptibility in patient samples. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition in 41 U.S.C. 1901, as cited in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii).
If no written responses are received by 5 July 2017; 1000 (HST), the solicitation will be issued as only one source.
