Taiwan's Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), together with TeaLa, TINVA, and ITRI, brought 26 Taiwanese startup companies to Los Angeles for the “2026 TW SelectLA” program from April 30 to May 1. This marks the third consecutive year that a large Taiwanese startup delegation has come to LA to expand international partnerships and investment opportunities!
Deputy Director General Sara Chen welcomed SMESA Director General GJ Lee and the Taiwanese startup delegation on April 30. More than 100 guests from Southern California’s venture capital, startup, academic, and Taiwanese business communities joined the event for networking and collaboration.
Built on Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductors and ICT, Taiwanese startups continue to make impressive strides in AI, biotechnology, aerospace and smart applications. Southern California’s diverse and international business environment also creates exciting new opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and market expansion.
