TECO-LA launches an English platform for consular service via on-site appointment or mail-in registration on March 21, 2022

On March 21, 2022, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA) will launch an English platform to extend service availability to its existing “Consular Counter Application Appointment and Mail Login Inquiry System” for the younger generation of Taiwanese Americans, expatriates and applicants who do not read the Chinese language.
Meanwhile, to comply with Taiwan’s latest policies that ease border restrictions and reopen the Special Entry Permit (Visa) application to foreigners traveling to Taiwan on “Business,” “Study,” and “Employment” purposes, TECO-LA will also facilitate their applications by offering an on-site service by appointment starting on March 21, 2022. The on-site service for Special Entry Permit (Visa) is only available from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Wednesdays. It is highly recommended that foreigners access the service via the above System.
