DG Chou Meets Puerto Rico House Speaker to Strengthen Taiwan–Puerto Rico Relations

On August 21, Director General Charles Chou visited the Puerto Rico House of Representatives and met with Speaker Carlos "Johnny" Méndez Núñez. They exchanged views on the friendly relations between Taiwan and Puerto Rico, as well as future cooperation opportunities.
DG Chou expressed sincere appreciation to Speaker Méndez and the House for passing a pro-Taiwan resolution — encouraging stronger exchanges in economy, culture, industry, and academia. ? This resolution symbolizes the deep value both sides place on our growing friendship.
To warmly welcome DG Chou’s visit, Speaker Méndez proudly displayed the national flag of Taiwan ?? in his office and formally introduced DG Chou in the chamber, alongside Vice Speaker Yashira Lebrón Rodríguez, Majority Leader José Torres Zamora, and Minority Leader Lisie Burgos Muñiz.
We look forward to working closely with all sectors in Puerto Rico to explore new opportunities and deepen bilateral ties.
