On the afternoon of February 19, Director General Chou was invited to Miami-Dade College to introduce Taiwan’s national development, culture, and international engagement, and to hold an interactive discussion with around 150 students.
During the session, Director General Chou highlighted Taiwan’s key role in global trade, the first island chain in the Indo-Pacific, the democratic value chain, and the AI non-Red supply chain. He explained how Taiwan leverages its economic strength, semiconductor leadership, and democratic values to contribute to regional stability and global prosperity.
Students actively participated in the discussion, raising thoughtful questions about Taiwan’s culture, politics, and international cooperation, creating a dynamic and engaging exchange.
Director General Chou also encouraged students to explore educational, exchange, and internship opportunities in Taiwan — whether through Mandarin language study or participation in technology and industry programs — to broaden their global perspectives and strengthen their skills.
The event deepened students’ understanding of Taiwan and offered firsthand insight into Taiwan’s diverse and evolving role on the international stage, making for an inspiring learning experience.
