Director General Charles Chou attended the 53rd Annual Meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) in Orlando, Florida, on July 22.
To help state legislators from across the United States better understand Taiwan’s democratic journey and the close Taiwan–U.S. partnership, ALEC hosted a screening of Invisible Nation, a documentary directed by Vanessa Hope.
Following the screening, Director General Charles Chou joined Arizona State Representative Justin Wilmeth, Maryland State Representative Kathy Szeliga, and public policy expert Thor Mortensen in a panel discussion on Taiwan’s democratic development and the themes highlighted in Invisible Nation, engaging with the audience in a lively exchange of views.
The event drew enthusiastic participation, with attendees expressing strong support for Taiwan.
