Processing Time for Document Authentication (Last Update:2024-01-26)
- Regular processing:
- Processing time is 10 working days (excluding weekends and national holidays). The processing time starts the day after we receive your complete application, provided we obtain all necessary and supporting documentation.
- If the application is incomplete or does not include all required or additional supporting material, the processing time will only begin the day after we receive the remaining documentation. For more details, please visit Consular Services Update.
- In the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as inclement weather conditions), the processing time will be postponed.
- If the documents must be forwarded to related agencies for approval, the processing time will be postponed.
- Expedited processing:
- Expedited processing service is provided only when given valid justifications. TECO in NY reserves the right to determine whether to offer expedited processing service. The decision will be made based on the volume of applications we receive, the difficulty and complexity of authentication, and other relevant considerations.
- An additional 50% of the regular processing fee per document must be paid. For instance, if the regular processing fee for one document is 15 USD, then a total of 22.50 USD must be paid for expedited processing.
- The documents should be available one or two days ahead of the regular processing time (10 working days), provided that there are no issues with said documents.
