The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York would like to invite all to join us for a webinar on “The Taiwan Model: On a resolute path to the SDGs in the COVID-19 pandemic” on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 10 am to 11:20 am (EST).
The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter and the start of the Decade of Action to deliver the SDGs. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the progress of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, adding challenges to the realization of the Global Goals. How has Taiwan been dealing with this pandemic? What can Taiwan do to help the world recover better together?
At this webinar, discussants will share Taiwan’s best practices in fighting against the pandemic in the context of the SDGs. A comparison report on Taiwan’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda will also be discussed for peer learning. As the decade of action looks to become the decade of recovery, we need bold and creative models to regain normalcy, and Taiwan’s experience could be one of these models.
The event will be live streamed on YouTube. *Live stream link.
