The 2022 Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies, provided by the Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) at National Central Library, is now open for applications through May 31, 2021.
Eligibility
This program is aimed at foreign professors, including associate professors and assistant professors, as well as post-doctoral researchers and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at overseas universities. Researchers at related overseas academic institutes are also welcome to apply.
Grant recipients may conduct their research in Taiwan for a period of one to twelve months. The research should primarily focus on Taiwan or Chinese studies.
Grant subsidies
-Monthly grants (paid at the beginning of each month)
- Professor: NT$60,000 (approx. US$2,100)
- Associate professor: NT$50,000 (approx. US$1,750)
- Assistant professor/ post-doctoral researcher/ doctoral candidate: NT$40,000 (approx. US$1,400)
-One direct round-trip economy-class ticket to Taipei
CCS also provides assistance with research materials, liaison with universities and research institutions, and the use of CCS facilities.
