The Presidential Hackathon International Track invites innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, civic technologists, startups, students, and public-sector professionals from around the world to develop digital solutions for real-world public challenges.
The theme: Digital Inclusion in the AI Era
This year’s theme reflects President Lai’s New Year vision of “Advancing toward a Smart and Prosperous Taiwan”. As AI continues to reshape societies worldwide, the competition seeks innovative solutions that leverage digital technologies to build a more inclusive, equitable, and intelligent future.
We welcome proposals that address one or both of the following areas:
- Advancing Digital Inclusion
Leverage AI and digital technologies ensure that people of all ages, backgrounds, regions, and abilities can equally access digital services and opportunities. Solutions should help bridge the digital divide, foster digital literacy, and enable everyone to benefit from the opportunities created by the AI era.
- Building Smarter Public Services
Apply AI, data analytics, and digital technologies to improve the efficiency, accessibility, safety, and responsiveness of public services and everyday living environments. Proposed solutions may address areas such as education, care services, governance, disaster prevention etc.

Selected Teams Will Gain Access：
- Opportunities to engage with Taiwan’s public and private sectors and explore potential partnerships.
- Professional mentorship and access to field validation.
- Teams of Excellence will receive free airfare and accommodation in Taiwan for up to two team members.
- Teams of Excellence will be invited to present their innovative solutions to President Lai at the Office of the President.
