Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle and the Consular Association of Washington co-hosted Annual Gala Dinner at China Harbor Restaurant on December 2, 2018. Director General Vincent Yao and Mrs. Yao attended the dinner with staff of TECO.
Washington State Representative Mia Gregerson, Bellevue City Council Member Janice Zahn, Director of International Affairs of Seattle City Stacey Jehlik, Advisor of International Business Protocol Liaison of Port of Seattle Karin Zaugg Black, President of the Consular Association of Washington Teresa Indelak Davis, Japanese Consul General Yoichiro Yamada, Canadian Consul General Brandon Lee, German Honorary Consul Uli Fischer and Belgium Honorary Consul Jacqueline Miller, among dozens of other Consular Association members attended the dinner as well.
The theme of the dinner is Taiwan night. During the registration, tea specialists demonstrated the brewing of two types of Taiwanese Tea, Dong Ding Oolong and White Tipped Oolong. Guests from different countries all enjoyed the Taiwanese cuisine served by the restaurant. During the dinner, TECO arranged performances by a traditional Chinese zither musician, a string quartet as well as a live band to present Taiwanese folk songs and pop music. Guests even danced with each other with live music and enjoyed the fun evening.
Kavalan Whiskey was served throughout the dinner.
