Holders of British passports whose nationality is listed solely as "British Citizen" are eligible for visa-free entry to Taiwan (ROC).
According to the British Nationality Act 1981, the United Kingdom categorizes "Nationality" in passports into the following types:
British Citizen
British Overseas Territories Citizen
British Overseas Citizen
British Subject
British National (Overseas)
British Protected Person
Among these, only "British Citizens" automatically enjoy the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
