1. About NYIFF
Founded in 1996, NYIFF is one of Taiwan’s leading platforms for world folk dance and music, bringing together diverse cultures for stage performances, parades, outreach, workshops, and city exchange events.
2. Who Can Apply
• Folk dance, music, and traditional arts groups (including companies, troupes, collectives, and community-based organizations)
• Mixed-age or single-age groups welcome; live or recorded music formats acceptable; applications from all regions encouraged
3. How to Apply
(1)Please download the ZIP package attached to this notice(NEWS). After unzipping, carefully read the documents, complete the required forms, and submit them to the organizer by email as instructed.

– Confirmation of Participation
• Selection — by Dec 31, 2025 (notification of results)
• Stage 02 — Due Mar 31, 2026
– Program Schedule; Technical Rider; Stage Plot (for live music groups); Dietary Survey; Outreach Details Form
• Stage 3 — Due Jul 15, 2026
– E-tickets (or proof of purchase); Final roster/rooming list; Passport scans; Guardian Consent (if minors); Certificate of insurance
• Length Notice — within 15 days of receiving e-tickets
– Final lengths for Opening / Closing / Parade
• Stage 4 — Due Aug 31, 2026
– LED media (photos/videos); Opening/Closing program details; Minor program adjustments (if any); Instrument/cargo shipping & customs reconfirmation
• Daily Schedules Notice — by Sep 30, 2026 (provided to selected international groups)
• Festival — Oct 16–25, 2026
5. Selection & Expectations
Assessment considers artistic quality, authenticity/heritage value, diversity of repertoire, programming fit, and readiness for exchange activities.
