A special event focusing on Calligraphy was held at the WTO Gallery, where a renowned calligrapher, Dr. Fan-shen WANG, invited by the Taiwan Mission to the WTO, honouring us with his presence and giving a live demonstration of the skills of calligraphy.
Guests invited to the event were all astonished by excellent skill of Dr. Wang, whose fine arts were later on given as gifts to the guests as a token of friendship with the Taiwan Mission. Idioms such as "Multilateralism outweighs Bilateralism" was given to the WTO director-general Roberto Azevedo and "stand high and foresee" to the U.S. Amb. Dennis Shea, who were all very close friends to Taiwan.
Works by Dr. Fan-shen WANG hang in many important places around the world, including the Harvard University’s Yen-ching Library, one of the prestigious institutes dedicated to the Study of Sinology. It was truly an honor to have him writing for us.
