In order to attract outstanding international students to undertake degree studies in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is offering the “Taiwan Scholarship” program. The scholarship applicants should be a citizen of Brunei with at least an A-Level accredited Diploma, IB Diploma Programme, or any other equivalent academic qualification, an excellent academic record and good moral character.
The Taiwan MOE will provide the scholarship recipient up to NTD40,000 for tuition and miscellaneous expenses each semester. The recipients undertaking undergraduate studies will also be granted a monthly stipend of NT15,000, and those undertaking postgraduate studies will get NT20,000 per month. The duration for Taiwan Scholarship is: 4 years for undergraduate programs, 2 years for master’s degree programs, and 4 years for doctorate programs. The maximum period offered is 5 years. Eligible applicants from Brunei must apply directly to the university or college for admission before the deadline and submit their application form together with all required documents to the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Brunei Darussalam by March 31, 2026.
