Registration will run from February 18 to March 20. Please note that registration must be completed online. We welcome anyone who is not a native speaker of Chinese to take the test.
All levels of TOCFL will be available this year. The registration fee is the same for both traditional and simplified character exams. The test fee for Bands A, B and C is $40. There is also a new level called Band Novice, for which the test fee is $20. The CCCC Test will also be available for all levels. The registration fee is $20 for both traditional and simplified character exams.
The TOCFL certificate is an important credential for anyone considering applying for scholarships sponsored by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), such as the Taiwan Scholarship and the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship. It is also a requirement for admission to various academic programs at colleges and universities in Taiwan for overseas Chinese students. The CCCC Test is designed for children aged 7 to 12; it offers an incentive for children to study Chinese, and serves as a benchmark of their progress.
The TOCFL is available in both traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese. Participants who pass the test will receive a Chinese Proficiency Certificate, which can be used for academic or professional purposes.
