2021 TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language)
The 2021 TOCFL will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 10th, 2020, at Culture Centre of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Toronto (888 Progress Ave., Scarborough, Ontario, M1H 2X7, Canada). Registration will run from May 10 to June 11. Please note that registration must be completed online. We welcome anyone who is not a native speaker of Chinese to take the test.
Based on the consideration of Covid-19 pandemic, only the minimum level of the Chinese language test will be offered to applicants who plan to go study in Taiwan this year. The registration fee is the same for both traditional and simplified character exams. The test fee for Bands B and C is $40.
The TOCFL certificate is an important credential for anyone considering applying for scholarships sponsored by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), such as the Taiwan Scholarship and the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship.
The TOCFL is available in both traditional and simplified character. Participants who pass the test will receive a Chinese Proficiency Certificate, which can be used for academic or professional purposes.
