The Taiwan Ministry of Education offers a monthly amount of 25,000 Taiwan dollars scholarship to international students who plan to study Mandarin at a language center in Taiwan. Potential applicants please refer to the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Directions for further information.
Applications should include documents as following:
1. Application Form;
2. A photocopy of passport;
3. A copy of admission letter from an accredited Language Center, or an application letter;
4. The Terms of Agreement with signature
5. Optional--A copy of the highest academic degree and transcripts in English
6. Optional—letter of recommendation

Note:
1. Please make sure that you have read the HES Directions to establish your eligibility for applying.
2. The scholarship can be awarded for 2-months, 3-months, 6-months, or up to 12-months. Please indicate for how long you intend to study. However, it is under the discretion of this office to allocate the timeframe for the scholarship. The selection criteria are mainly based on your motivation, experience and potentiality. Therefore, it is advised that you should demonstrate your quality in the application form as strongly as possible.
3. Language courses are offered as summer term (Jun-Jul or Jul-Aug), followed by Fall term (Sep-Nov), Winter term (Dec-Feb of the following year), then Spring term (Mar-May of the following year).
4. Applicants who will be awarded the scholarship will be notified individually by the end of June. We apologize that we will not send a regret letter to those who have not been selected.
