On October 4th, Representative Janet Chang hosted a reception to celebrate the 111th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) together with our Finnish friends.The atmosphere was warm and celebratory throughout the event.
Representative Chang started her speech by giving special thanks to Chair Mikko Kärnä and members of the Finnish Parliamentary Taiwan Friendship Group for their support. She emphasized that Taiwan continues to play a constructive role in promoting the universal values of democracy and freedom in the midst of devolving geopolitics. She also called on her Finnish friends to maintain their support for Taiwan’s participation in the international organizations in addition to updating them on bilateral relations. She concluded by wishing Taiwan a Happy National Day and giving her best wishes to friendship between Taiwan and Finland.
