Authentication of documents(English)

N.B.:
According to the effective laws and privacy, to legalize ALL kinds of documents (such as the Certificate of Registration, Status of enrollment, diploma,transcripts, Certificate of signature, Birth Certificate, Criminal Records, Single Status, Marriage, divorce, commercial etc.) need to be handed personally to the Consular Office.

If the applicants is momentarily abroad and they cannot come personally to the Office, to request the consular service by third party, the documents must be accompanied ADDITIONALLY by a ORIGINAL and ONE PHOTOCOPY OF THE ORIGINAL of Letter of Authorization or Power of Attorney (written in either Chinese, English or Italian) legalized by a local Notary, and then authenticated by the Authority (in Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, Albania, San Marino ), the local Representative Office of Taipei/Taiwan(in other countries), or by the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) of the Foreign Ministry in Taipei(in Taiwan)

The Consular Office of Taipei Representative Office of Taipei in Italy is the only competent office for the authentication of documents issued by authorities of Italy, San Marino, Malta, Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia.

To present the documentation and request by the other person(third party), the documents must be accompanied by A ORIGINAL and ONE PHOTOCOPY OF THE ORIGINALE of Letter of Authorization or Power of Attorney (written in either Chinese, English or Italian) legalized by a local Notary, and then authenticated by the local Authority (in Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, Albania, San Marino ), the local Representative Office of Taipei/Taiwan(in other countries), or by the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) of the Foreign Ministry in Taipei(in Taiwan).

THIS IS FIXED REGULATION and rule of law.

THERE IS NO EXCEPTION IN ANY CASE.

For information related to the documents (language, format), please contact the competent authority in Taiwan.

If the documents need to be translated in English or Chinese, the translation may be done locally or in Taiwan, please confirm the procedure with the Taiwanese office that will receive the documents.

ITALY

The procedure for the authentication of Italian documents is the following:

1. documents issued by an Italian authority;

2. authentication of the documents by Italian Notary Office/Prefettura (for documents issued by Comune) or Court/Procura (for documents issued by court) or Chamber of Commerce;

3. translation in Italy or Taiwan;

4. authentication of documents by Taipei Representative Office in Italy.

SAN MARINO

The procedure for the authentication of documents issued by an authority in San Marino is the following:

1. documents issued by an authority in San Marino;

2. authentication by San Marino's Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

3. double authentication by the Embassy of San Marino in Italy;

4. authentication of documents by Taipei Representative Office in Italy.

The procedure for the authentication of Maltese documents is the following:

1. documents issued by Maltese authority;

2. authentication by Malta's Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

3. double authentication by the Embassy of MALTA in Italy;

4. authentication of documents by Taipei Representative Office in Italy.

ALBANIA

The procedure for the authentication of Albanian documents is the following:

1. documents issued by Albanian authority;

2. authentication by Albania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

3. authentication of documents by Taipei Representative Office in Italy.

NORTH MACEDONIA

The procedure for the authentication of documents issued by an authority in the Republic of North Macedonia is the following:

1. documents issued by an authority in the Republic of North Macedonia;

2. authentication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of North Macedonia;

3. double authentication by the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Italy;

4. authentication of documents by Taipei Representative Office in Italy.

In order to avoid problems of counterfeiting and for privacy reasons, the applicant must personally come to the Office in Rome.

Before submitting the documents, the applicant must make an appointment confirmed by the Office.
