Czech Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch announced the planned donation July 26. President of the Czech Senate Miloš Vystrčil--who previously uttered the iconic phrase “I am Taiwanese” during a visit here--took to Twitter to emphasize the symbolism of returning Taiwan’s mask donation during the height of the pandemic. The gesture of solidarity from the Czech Republic, sorely needed if we’re to #EndThisPandemic, shows that the country understands that when it comes to health, no-one can be left behind! So we'd like to echo the sentiments of the Senate President with a simple statement, "Jsem Čech!"
