Google will provide funding over the next three years for educational workshops aimed at the elderly, people in remote areas, indigenous groups, and newly naturalized citizens. 23,000 people around Taiwan are expected to benefit. The United States and Taiwan share a commitment to democracy, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. We both believe that enhancing media literacy is critical to defend against disinformation and other efforts to undermine democratic society.
