Senator John Cornyn, Senator Mike Crapo, United States Senator Mike Lee, Senator Tommy Tuberville, Representative Tony Gonzales and Representative Rep. Jake Ellzey visited #Taiwan from November 9-11. The #US delegation was granted an audience with President 蔡英文 Tsai Ing-wen, met with National Security Council Secretary-General Wellington Koo, took part in a video-conference with MOFA Minister Joseph Wu, were wined and dined by MOFA Deputy Minister Harry Tseng, as well as engaging on important issues in Taiwan-US relations with National Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng.

Senator Cornyn has been a long-time friend to Taiwan in the US Senate, backing many bills in support of Taiwan, including the TAIPEI Act, the CHIPS for America Act and the Taiwan Deterrence Act.

We’d like to thank the delegation for their visit, which shows the importance the US places on relations with Taiwan and we’ll continue to work towards strengthening the bilateral relationship.
