Requirements for Student Visa Application
The R.O.C.(Taiwan) reserves the right not to issue a visa and is under no obligation to disclose the reasons.

All applicants are required to make reservation by email ( E-mail: roctmtaiwan@yahoo.com). After reservation is completed and an email confirmation received, applicants may visit Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria at the assigned time slot with all requirements ready and submit directly at the visa counter. Only Counter Application is acceptable. No Mail-in Application. |

1.Documents from the Academic Institute in the ROC (Taiwan): (1) Duly signed admission letter preferably in Chinese or English. (2) Copy of Guarantor’s Taiwanese ID card (both front and back of the card). (3) Guarantee Form (prepared by the guarantor in Taiwan.) 2. Applicant’s personal documents: (1) Passport must be valid for at least 1 year and 6 months on the date of application. Both current and expired passports are required. Old passport( If old passport cannot be presented, please submit the police report of missing passport). (2) Two passport-sized white background(head size should be within 2.5cm to 3.0cm) photographs taken within six months. (3) Duly completed Visa online application and print-out of the form. (4) School certificates: diploma and transcripts(Secondary school, BSc. and Masters if applicable) , WAEC results, school living certificate and testimonial (Refer to no. 13 for endorsement procedure) (5) Most updated Curriculum Vitae(CV) of applicant (6) Two recommendation letters (Both from the employers of the applicant and the academic institutions of graduation.) (7) Guarantee Form filled by guarantor in Taiwan (8) Detailed study plan and autobiography (including emergency contact and address) (9) Personal bank statement (covering a period of 6 months. For applicants using a statement of financial support, provision of an affidavit, a letter of description of relationship with birth certificates to show relationship with applicant is required (10) Marriage certificate and copies of birth certificate of children.(If applicant is married with children) (11) National Identity card (12) Pay slips and letter of employment for employed applicants (13) Police character(Non criminal report), Health Certificate(All test must be conducted or the form will be rejected) and Birth certificate of applicant are required and endorsed individually by the following government agencies: A. Nigeria (Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja) B. Ghana(Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General in Nigeria/ High Commission Abuja/Lagos) C. Cameroon (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General in Nigeria/ High Commission Abuja/Lagos) D. Gambia(Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General in Nigeria/ High Commission Abuja/Lagos) (14) Above mentioned original credentials used both in seeking admission and required by our office are to be endorsed individually by the following government agencies: A. Nigeria (Ministry of Education & Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja) B. Ghana(Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General in Nigeria/ High Commission Abuja/Lagos) C. Cameroon (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General in Nigeria/ High Commission Abuja/Lagos) D. 4. Documents subjected to availability and required by Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria. Warning: Applicants are required to submit and collect documents in person. No agent is allowed. |
| 6 | Document endorsement | All school certificates, police character and medical report are required to be endorsed(legalized) by Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria. Please refer to Legalization for procedure and guidelines. |

| 8 | Policy on Appointment NO-SHOWS | Applicant should note that scheduled appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled in 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment date and time. Applicants who fail to arrive for a scheduled appointment without cancellation/rescheduling his/her appointment would be considered as "no-show".
If an applicant has a no-show for an appointment more than one time, no further appointment would be scheduled for the applicant. |
