Representative and Chief of Taiwan Mission in Nigeria Mr. Andy Yih-Ping Liu and his wife hosted the 112th National Day Celebration together on October 4, 2023. More than 230 honored guests from Nigeria and various embassies, alumni who studied in Taiwan attended this great reception. Several distinguished attendees made congratulatory remarks, that emphasized their appreciation for Taiwan’s achievements in democracy and economic development as well as their devotion in promoting deeper bilateral relations between Nigeria and Taiwan.
In the keynote address, Representative Andy Liu stressed that both Taiwan and Nigeria hold the core values of democracy, sovereignty and sustainable development. Their mutually beneficial economic, industrial and mining cooperation can create positive impact on H. E. President Bola Tinubu’s vision of making Nigeria’s South East the Taiwan of Africa. On behalf of the Taiwanese Government, Representative Andy Lin commended the declaration and looks forward to continue to work cooperatively with the Nigerian Government. He believes the strength of Taiwan’s development experience provides the best reference model for Nigeria.
Representative Andy Liu and his wife also cut the celebratory cake with dozens of VIPs together to conveying their well wishes to Taiwan’s continuous endeavors and successful development.
