On December 8th, Jan Chyan-shau, the first secretary of OCAC at Taiwan Mission in Nigeria under the guidance of Representative and Chief of Mission Andy Yih-Ping Liu, visited 3 Taiwanese companies—Q-Link, BOSCON, and GOOSE to know their operations and production lines, and to understand their current business situations. Mr. Jan brought Taiwanese tea and Presidential Office souvenirs as gifts to them for expressing goodwill blessings.
Alin Wu, Deputy Director of Q-Link Group’s Africa office, said that in order to meet the needs of different consumer groups and markets, the company has created two different brands, QASA and Duravolt, and has also partnered with the African e-commerce platform JUMIA to expand the market. Arthur Chen, General Manager of BOSCON, stated that gas stoves and electric kettles are their main products, and that wholesalers in Nigeria are their primary customers. BOSCON pays attention to staff training, learning through experience, and quality monitoring. GOOSE received Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs' Outstanding Manufacturer Award in 1993, and the company is planning to increase investment in real estate and chicken farming to boost its revenue.
