Notice For Documents Authentication
- Applicant shall fill up Application Form For Document Authentication, and present an original form with signature (Photocopy or scanned copy of the form, or electronic signature will NOT be accepted).
- Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines still requires paper-based Apostilles issued by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and does NOT accept electronic Apostilles (e-Apostilles) issued by the Philippine DFA that was launched on 19 March 2024.
- Processing Time:
- Regular processing time (except for the aforesaid documents): Regular documents shall be issued or rejected by the 8th working day from receipt of the application (processing time is 7 working days).
- Expedited processing time: Expedited processing documents will be issued or rejected by the 4th working day from receipt of the application (processing time is 3 working days). Please note that considering the workforce capacity, expedite requests are not accepted unless there is an emergency or urgent humanitarian reason, along with adequate supporting documents provided.
- In the event of the following circumstances, this office may request additional supporting documents or corrections to documents based on each case, and may notify the pickup time separately:
(1) If there are any doubts or concerns about the content of the document to be authenticated and need to be verified from competent authorities again;(2) If the contents of the document to be authenticated do not conform to the supporting documents;(3) If the contents of the document to be authenticated is blurry, unreadable, etc..

- Original Authentication fee : Php 800.00 (Expedited processing fee: Php 400.00).
- Duplicate copy authentication fee : Php 400.00 (Expedited processing fee: Php 200.00).
- Filing Time : 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. ; Monday to Friday except holidays
- Releasing Time: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ; Monday to Friday except holidays
- Courier, mail, electronic applications will NOT be accepted.
- For the applications for the passport of the Republic of China (Taiwan), transnational marriage, death registration with Taiwan's household registration office, the relevant civil registry documents such as birth certificate, CENOMAR, marriage certificate and death certificate will undergo further validation by inquiring the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). In these cases, the authentication processing time will take about 4 weeks. Expedited processing would NOT be accepted.
- Supporting documents related to the application purpose:
In addition to the required documents listed for this document authentication on our website, this office may request the applicant to provide supporting documents related to the purpose of the application on a case-by-case basis.
The example of the supporting documents would be: announcements or regulations of the competent authorities, Household Certificate, Household Registration Transcript, birth/death certificate, DNA paternity test report, Company's general information sheet (GIS), stakeholders' IDs related to the application, business registration license, operation permits or commercial contracts in the Philippines, etc.

- All unclaimed Authentication Certificates will be disposed of three (3) months from the scheduled date of release.
