About the Representative

I am pleased to inform you of my new tenure as Representative of the Taipei Representative Office in the United Kingdom, having commenced my duties on 25 August.   I am honoured to serve Taiwan here in the United Kingdom, and our office is very privileged to have such a large number of friends in this country, both in Parliament and throughout wider society. These friends have proved an indispensable asset to the relations of Taiwan and the UK, and their efforts have made a substantial contribution to the great achievements in our bilateral links.   The extensive support base that Taiwan enjoys in the United Kingdom is very encouraging, and I greatly anticipate working with you and your colleagues to build upon these strong foundations. Fully understanding the importance of our bilateral ties, ranging from economics and science to culture, education and tourism, I will make the promotion of these respective fields a top priority, and I look forward to your continued support in the development of an increasingly diversified relationship between our countries.
