Important Notice

- Decisions such as Duration of Stay, Enter before (valid period), Extanable or not, etc., are at the TRO's discretion. You may be given a visa that is different from the information in your application.
Who can apply?
- UK/EEA passport holders who reside in the UK
- Non-UK/EEA passport holders must provide a valid UK resident visa or resident card
- Applicants who are not UK residents must apply for their visas at Overseas Missions of the ROC (Taiwan) in their country of residence.
- Applicants who reside in southern Britain (including Guernsey and Jersey), Northern Ireland, British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos, the Falkland Islands, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Seychelles please apply with Taipei Representative Office in the UK, London Office.
Who are eligible?
Duration of stay is less than 180 days with an eligible purpose.
How to submit your application?
By post only (to 1 Melville Street, Edinburgh, EH3 7PE)
As the circumstances of each application may vary, the TRO reserves the right to request any additional supporting documents. In addition, due to Covid-19, the TRO may extend the processing time. Please submit your application at least 4 weeks before your scheduled arrival and be aware that your passport will be kept for review during the whole process.

The TRO reserves the right to request additional supporting documents, such as an employment letter, school letter, police record, an interview, etc., depending on the circumstances of each application after submission.
