CNEX Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to supporting motivated storytellers to enhance a sustainable strategy for contemporary documentary filmmaking and facilitate cultural exchange between Taiwan and the international community.
With the consistent mission to nurture promising young filmmakers, the foundation is excited to launch the inaugural edition of "Taiwan Pitch Nonfiction Short Film Fund" — an open call program, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan, targeting filmmaking students worldwide to tell their unique Taiwan stories by combining aesthetics and innovation and new media techniques in creating short films.
The Foundation welcomes proposals of 7-15 minutes long nonfiction films suitable for airing online and new media platforms. Finalists will receive a 10,000 USD funding for film production and a fixed reimbursement for travel expenses to participate in the "Talent Village" workshop held in Taiwan. Three films will be selected as outstanding works to receive cash awards of 10,000 USD, 8,000 USD, and 6,000 USD, respectively.
Applying is free and open to all students around the world. The application will close at 09:59 AM (Belize Time) on April 30, 2022. Please find more information:
