The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Denver (TECO) hosted its 2026 National Day Reception on October 2 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, bringing together distinguished guests and friends from government, the diplomatic and consular community, business, and the community to celebrate the 115th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Director General Debby Huang welcomed distinguished guests including Christian Thomas, Senior Manager of Diplomacy at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), representing Colorado Governor Jared Polis; Gabe Martinez, Denver Metro Regional Director for U.S. Senator Michael Bennet; Greg Mills, District Director for U.S. Congressman Gabe Evans; Colorado State Senator Lisa Frizell, Assistant Minority Leader; Colorado State Representatives Cecelia Espenoza and Anthony Hartsook; and Tran Win-Wills, Deputy Outreach Director from the Office of Denver Mayor Mike Johnston.
Also joining the celebration were Anders Tornquist, Dean of the Consular Corps of Colorado and Honorary Consul of Norway; Walther Noack Sierra, Consul General of Guatemala in Denver; and Joe Jefferson, Presiding Municipal Judge of Englewood, along with many other distinguished guests, community leaders, and friends.
The gathering highlighted the close and growing ties between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the United States, as well as the strong connections built through government, economic, cultural, and community exchanges.
