General Information:
Consular Jurisdiction: Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO-LA) is only authorized to authenticate documents that have been issued within our service areas, covering Southern California ( Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Kern County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County and Imperial County), Arizona and New Mexico. However, service areas do not apply to Visa and Passport applications.

Mail-in Application: Please sign Mail Delivery Service Agreement and Register Online
Please enclose a notarized copy of your photo ID as proof of your identity. However, copy of Passport or ID Card issued by the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is not required to be notarized if the applicant is a Taiwanese citizen. Prior to mailing documents to TECO-LA, you may contact Consular Division of TECO-LA staff at +1 213-389-1215 for guidance and further information. *Remember to enclose a postage paid return envelop along with your application if you're unavailable to come pick up the passport in person. We only accept USPS Priority Express Mail service.
Application by Agents-Applicant may assign an agent to deliver the required documents to TECO-LA. Agent is required to present his/her valid photo ID (e.g. driver license, passport, or naturalization certificate) along with an authorization letter from the applicant.
