Travelers eligible for Visa-exempt Entry Scheme
- Nationals of most EU countries, including Ireland, are eligible for Taiwan's visa exemption program for stays of up to 90 days, as long as their visit is for activities that do not require a permit, such as tourism, visiting friends or relatives, attending business meetings, exhibitions, or international exchanges.
- Click here to check your eligibility, permitted duration, and entry requirements. Travelers eligible for visa-free entry must complete an "Online Immigration Arrival Card" before arriving in Taiwan.
※ Please note that if you qualify for visa-free entry but plan to engage in activities requiring a permit, such as work and study, you must apply for a visa in advance. Or if you plan to stay longer than the visa-free period, you also need to apply for a visa.
Travelers NOT eligible for Visa-exempt Entry Scheme
Travelers who do not qualify for the visa-free scheme must submit visa applications to an overseas mission of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) in advance, based on their planned stay duration and entry purposes.
