Academic Records and Education Documents Authentication

Please make sure that the document issuing school(s) is located in Scotland, North England (above Durham and Cumbria), and the Isle of Man. Please contact London Office about authentication for documents issued elsewhere.

Applicants MUST first contact the Taiwanese authorities (employer, immigration, school, etc.) who require these documents and confirm that the document's content, format, and numbers of copies, are as required. Then refer to Authentication page on our website for different types of documents. We do not take responsibility if the authenticated documents are rejected for their purpose.
The document(s) need to be issued by an officially recognized educational body: You can check whether or not your school is recognized here.
Please submit your application by post only, whether it's done by yourself or by an egent.

Method 1: Original > Notarised in UK > FCDO > TRO

You should firstly have your origianl document notarised by a UK-based notary or solicitor. The notary or the solicitor MUST notarise the document(s) having checked received confirmation of authenticity from the issuing university/party. Please be advised that we do not accept the statements such as " true copy of the original. "
Then get the notarised document(s) to be legalised by the FCDO Legalisation Office

Method 2 : Original + applicant request or purchase physical copy or electrical copy of documents come directly from school to TRO

You should send to the TRO: an original and a copy of the document which you wish to get verified.
Then you must request the issuing university/party to send an Academic confirmation/ certified copy of original degree certificate/transcript directly to the TRO.

1	Document Authentication Application Form	Please provide correct information in all sections, and sign in wet ink. We don't accept electronic signature. For PhD, please provide detail of your school and subject. Please list all the submitted items correctly. If an agent or family/friend is involved, please fill in the details in the agent section.
2	Letter of Authorisation	Please fill this form correctly, and sign in English in wet ink. Authorisation from for Newcastle University
3	Valid passport	By post：Please provide a copy of your valid passport ID page.
4	Education Documents (e.g. school letter, proof of matriculation, diploma, A level/ GCSE, etc) and Acedemic Records (Degree /transcripts)	An origianl copy of Degree/transcript which are issued by an officially recognised. For criterea of the documents, please refer toTwo acceptable types of documents in the above section.
If it is done by an agent, please provide the follows:
5	Agent's passport copy and/or company registration certificate
6	Letter of Authorisation	Applicant need to fill this letter of authorisation The letter of authorisation needs to be notarised by UK notary or courts in Taiwan.
